Date Shakes


2/3 C pitted dates

1 ½ C vanilla soymilk

1 - 1 ½ frozen banana chunks

Blend all in the blender. Serves 3. Hint: If you don’t have a Vitamix or Blendtec blender, you will need to cook the dates in a little water before blending so they will blend easily. In California dates are plentiful, and usually this shake is made with real ice cream—the frozen bananas work great, and it tastes just as good! (No oxidized cholesterol in these shakes!)

Fruit Smoothies

1 banana, frozen in chunks

½ C frozen strawberries

½ C frozen blueberries

½ C frozen raspberries

1 - 1 ½ C soymilk

1 Tbs pure maple syrup (optional)


Blend all ingredients in blender. Serves 3.
